Luke's First Sports Class

When Luke is a super shot athlete someday (which he is required to become), we will remember that it all started with 2-year-old Soccer Shots at Ridge Road Baptist Church. And with the "Boys of Blenheim" no less!

We were really excited to start soccer with Patrick, Beau, Hawes, William and William. But turns out the whole thing was a little overwhelming for Luke. He wanted to stick close to Mama and would not let go. So Mama got to learn how to do control position, dribble, and score a goal. :)

Coach Dom was wonderful with this wild bunch of boys! Each practice was CHAOS I tell you. Kids tripping over each other, running into the net, wandering off in the middle of practice, melting down, etc. To say Coach Dom had his hands full was an understatement.

But we will keep going to Thursday soccer practice and hope that somehow these two-year-olds learn something about soccer over the course of eight weeks. I'm not hopeful! But I am certain it's fun doing this class with our neighbors and it's helpful to expose Luke to an organized sports class. And he's pretty cute when he scores a goal!
