Date in Chapel Hill

I came up with the idea that it would be fun to go hang out in Chapel Hill for the morning- just me and Collins. So we went to the Morehead Planetarium and saw a really neat show in the dome about Big Bird and the night sky. Then we walked on the quad and explored Franklin Street. We had lunch at Sutton's Drug Store (which I had actually never eaten at while on campus! how is this possible? the burgers were amazing) and then got ice cream from my favorite place, The Yogurt Pump. It was special showing Collins my school and spending time with her there.

More Summer Fun

We have really been enjoying Summer this year. It's not as hot out, not as rainy, and I have not one but two fun girls to hang out with all the time. Here's a snapshot of what we've been up to lately...

Rock climbing...

Hanging out at the pool...

Trips to the Farmer's Market...

We tried a new story time over at Prarie Ridge Ecosystem...

Tutu tennis lesson...

 All ready for summer camp...

Swim lessons...
And just hanging out at the house...

We created a bucket list of things we wanted to do this summer- only a couple more to cross off the list. Good thing because school starts back in just a month!

Addie at 6 Months

We have hit the sweet spot! I love the six-month mark with babies. When Collins was this age, all of a sudden she was so fun and interactive and CUTE. And then she just kept getting better and better as the months rolled on.

It has been the exact same experience with Addie. What a precious baby this is...she smiles all the time, makes hilarious sounds, has adorable fat rolls, doesn't get upset easily, and is just generally pleasant and sweet at all time. "Sweetness" is what I call her because she makes me so happy. Now that she's more active- sitting up, rolling over, grabbing objects with her hands, putting EVERYTHING in her mouth- she's also more entertaining. Collins is beginning to realize her sister is worth talking to because she gets a reaction. Whenever Collins throws a smile or a conversation her way, Addie gets really excited and moves her arms quickly, breaks into a huge smile, and usually make a fun sound in response. Precious I tell you. :)

Addie's official six-month photo says it all...everything goes in the mouth including her "6" sticker!

The day she turned six months...

First time with solids...did not go over well!

Addie loves her bath...

She makes everyone around her light up!

Now if we could just get this precious baby to sleep through the night... :)

Kiawah 2014

All I can say is I have a LOT of photos. Between the beauty of the island, the cuteness of my girls, and my new obsession for Instagram there weren't many moments when there wasn't a camera in my hand. Bear with me. As you will see, the vacation was awesome!

I was really worried how the six hour road trip would go with the girls, but they surprised me. They did really great!

One of my favorite scenes as you cross over the first bridge onto the island...

This beach is beautiful and sparkly and huge!

There was a super moon our first night there...

There was a reason this one was going after my coffee- she didn't sleep while on vacation! Sigh...

We discovered that Addie has my crazy beach hair, poor thing...

Collins spent her afternoons playing in the tidal pools...

Brian didn't mind them either...

Collins rode her bike to and from the beach every day and became a very confident rider! It was so cute to see her pedaling hard down the trail on her tiny pink bike...

These two were a tight pair...

And now for the professional shots from my sister, the photographer...

We are so thankful for this wonderful trip!
