The Wilderness

The Moore's neighbor has a backyard property that they call "the wilderness". And it is a kid's dream complete with a zip line, giant swing, a fishing hole and a tree house. My kids love going to the wilderness!

Biking at Lake Crabtree

Lake Crabtree is a neat spot not far down the interstate for some regular and mountain biking. We tried it out one day and enjoyed it.

First Swim Meet

Addie nailed her first swim meet, and we were so proud of her!

God's Big Backyard

Normal VBS is not happening this year b/c of COVID so Ms. Laurie came up with a new concept...VBS in a box. Allison and I have signed on to help because we did not get to lead the June VBS as planned. So now we are tasked with coming up with a take-home VBS in August called "God's Big Backyard". Here are my children promoting it for church social media. Planning is underway, and we will see how this goes!

Half Birthday Ice Cream

We went a different route with Addie's half birthday ice cream...the homemade route!

Cape Fear Adventure

We hopped aboard some canoes in Lillington and sailed down the Cape Fear river for something different to do. We saw some snakes, we had a little race, we avoided some rapids, and we had a fun afternoon!

Things are Actually Growing

We are always in shock when something actually grows in our garden because the conditions are that bad. But a few green beans and a tiny tomato seem like a big victory!

Gardenia Time

June is gardenia time, and every year we are so thankful for our gigantic bush and these gorgeous sweet-smelling flowers!

Collins's artistic take on the gardenia. Love these flowers!

Swim Team vs Open Swim

Swim team practice is well underway and here is how we are feeling about that...

BUT open swim on the other hand is more like this...

Father's Day

It was a VERY manly Father's Day complete with smoked meat, a chainsaw, and some tree removal. What more could a celebrated Father want?

Fletcher Park

Fletcher Park is a great Raleigh spot to explore on wheels, by trees, or by hiding locations!
