Tomato Time

It was exciting to come back to town and see how much the tomatoes had grown over the last two weeks! Not too bad for our little shade garden...

Wrightsville Week

Time to go to WB! And look who is ready to ditch the pack 'n play? He slept like a baby for the first time in his new big bed at the beach house (nestled between two bigger beds!).

(Which luckily also doubles as a trampoline.)

Time for a week of sunshine, sand, trucks....

and pineapples! This beach vacation was all about floating and boating...

Ride to the dock near the end of the island which makes for a pretty sunset view...

And on this pretty morning- good news- we were going to be boat owners for the day!

Here comes our ride...

We made the most of our eight hours with our rental boat...we trained some new drivers, visited Carolina beach by the water, rode by a giant barge, and explored our own personal island.

This was my favorite part of the day on the boat. (It was not Brian's favorite part b/c the boat got stuck when the tide was too low which stressed him out). But Addie and I hopped off to our own personal island where we could splash and explore and chase crabs. I can't think of a better way to spend a summer afternoon.

This is Brian's favorite way to spend a summer afternoon- on the water, watching the boats go by with his kids by his side and a beer in his hand. :)

We did spend some time on the actual beach...

It was really fun with Brian's friend Carter came over to hang out. Their family has a love of WB and come as often as they can. And they just happened to be there the same time as us so Collins and Acelyn had a big time riding waves...

and using their Dads as spring boards into the ocean. :)

Every night we're having appetizers and cocktails and I panic because the sun starts setting and I can't miss it! Luckily, we have a good viewing spot a short bike ride away...

Back to Lollipop Cove for some more floating and fishing...

Luke became obsessed with fishing on this trip as you can tell in the next few pictures...

Collins became obsessed with finding these butterfly shells...

And we all are obsessed with Kohl's ice cream which is a required visit every time we are at Wrightsville...

It was a fabulous week of beaching it, fishing it, floating it, eating it and spending time with our family and friends!

Now home for one day then off to BHI. Can you believe it? Three beach trips right in a row. That is some sort of crazy record and a result of some extreme luck.
