Backwards No More

Oh, thank goodness! Finally, I felt like I could switch Luke from backwards-facing to frontwards-facing because he was two. This is a game changer for car riding- both for him and me.

The pediatrician tried to tell me the new recommendation was that they remain backwards-facing until they are FOUR. Yes, that won't be happening in my car. I am more likely to get in an accident with that wild man thrashing about where I can't see him. It is much more sane in my car now that Luke can easily see his sister, can point out garbage trucks he sees on the road, and can point at the CD player and demand that I play "Bible school music". You win some; you lose some. :)

But luckily, now when I look in my rearview, I see this happy face..

and every once in awhile I catch these two holding hands. Here's to more smooth rides in mama's car!
