Final Preparations Underway

Almost go-time! With Christmas less than a week away, we were in final preparation mode.

As school was winding down, Collins was working on her gifts for her friends (they had all planned in advance to get each other platypus Beenie Boos)..

I was still baking away (cannot resist the combination below)...

and we were fitting in the last of our Christmas activities. This one turned out surprisingly to be one of my favorites. Collins had an early release the Friday before Christmas, and I had planned to take her and Addie to see a matinee of the new "Grinch" movie. We were all so excited. But got to the theatre and found out they only had two seats left...you should have seen their sad little faces. Luckily, a nice man agreed to let Addie sit on my lap in the recliner seat and Christmas was saved! :)

We had the best time watching this adorable, colorful Christmas movie and bonus- I got to snuggle with Addie the whole time. We left the theatre saying it was one of our favorite movies ever (maybe a bit of a stretch- but still so fun!). It will definitely be added to our Christmas movie rotation.

Only thing left to do? Pack for Hickory! Time for our first Christmas celebration.
