Gingerbread House and Cookie Party

Mandy, Andrea and I have a fun new tradition to get all our girls (and Luke) together for a gingerbread house/cookie decorating party. We had a great time last year despite the gingerbread houses turning into a huge disaster. Turns out it is helpful to glue them together BEFORE the party so they actually have time to dry. Well, after lots of slipping and sliding from our houses last year, we wised up this year and turned out some pretty impressive structures!

I loved Luke's house the best...Mandy got him a Gingerbread Barn complete with reindeer which he thought was so fun. Somehow, we were able to make it look like the picture, and he actually put quite a bit of focus into decorating this house. He kept talking about "his barn".

Emma was so sweet to help him..
Meanwhile, Evie had no interest in gingerbread houses because new playrooms are way more fun!

Emma was most excited about "making another mess with flour!" so we moved right on to the cookie part of the afternoon...

The littles got into this part too...

The big girls churned out a lot of cookies...(because this meant there were more to eat)

Addie might have over-sprinkled...👀

Oh, how I love this get together! The kids make a mess, the mama's catch up, and we celebrate the holidays together in such a neat way.
