After Collins had her 7th birthday party at Energy Kidz (where they all take gymnastics), Addie immediately said she wanted to have her 5th birthday party there. It was that much fun. Fast forward 10 months later, and here we were- back at Energy Kidz for Addie's party! And believe it or not, her party was just as much fun as her sister's. All the kids had a great time- especially our sweet birthday girl.
This huge smile did not leave her face the whole time!
They started out with stretches...we had Adair, Margaret, Grey, Reeves, Tyler, Parker, Harrison, Luke, Collins, Amelia, Molly Kate, Stewart, and Avery at the party. Cute bunch!
Instructions for the next part- the obstacle course!
Apparently, Luke doesn't get the joke...
But Stewart loves him and that makes it ok. :)
Addie got to do a demo of the obstacle course showing off her gymnastics skills...Mr. Mike designed a pretty elaborate series of moves.
Next, the popcorn game...
At the end, everybody hurled themselves into the foam pit for a picture...
At the end of the gym portion of the party, they were red-faced and thirsty and ready to have snacks (i.e. cake) in the party room. So we wasted no time...
The kids kept on insisting that Addie open their presents so before you knew it, she had ripped through all of them.
It was a fabulous party! Later on, Sara told me that all her kids (a 7, 5, and 2-year-old) all had an equally great time. It's true- constant running and laughing- is super fun no matter what your age. But the most important person- our Addie girl- had the best time of all. I haven't heard her laugh or seen her smile that much in a long time. For our Christmas Eve baby, birthday parties are hard to come by. This one will go down as one of her best ever!
