Collins joined a junior tennis team! After doing a clinic at the Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center in the Spring, her instructor recommended that she try out for the junior team tennis in the Fall. She tried out, and made it! This meant competitive match play against other teams in the area- a totally new experience. She was excited about this new team which would mean practices on Fridays and games on Saturdays. There were six kids (boys and girls) on her team, and her coach was a young guy who played for the Broughton tennis team. Here she is getting started- learning the ropes of JTT.
She really liked it! Her coach made it fun with competitive drills and the other kids were pretty silly so that went over well. And then there were cool trees to climb after practice. It was a win-win experience. Can't wait to see where this season leads her!
