Christmas in Hickory

After all the Christmas presents were purchased and wrapped, the Christmas cards delivered, parties attended, baking completed and all the other "work" that goes into the holiday, it was finally time to relax and celebrate Christmas with Mom and family in Hickory. Deep sigh of relief...I was ready for it.

Compared to last year (Addie!), this Christmas in Hickory was very low key. Which was wonderful!

Mimi treated Collins to an early Christmas present...

We went to Baba's house for a visit, and Collins was fascinated by her snow village. Of course that means she came home with part of it! We will be so excited to set up the pieces in her room next year...

Addie was interested too...

Love this one...

This was a neat moment during our Hickory visit...watching "Elf" with Collins for the first time. We were snuggled up on the couch, with the fire going, and she was belly laughing the whole way through. It was like I was watching this awesome movie for the first time again. Loved seeing it through her eyes...

Mimi's house was a busy place over Christmas with two kids and four dogs running around the place, but I'm pretty sure she loved every minute of it!

For the actual Christmas celebration, Mom made a delicious dinner and then we opened presents....Collins was not happy to have Addie slow her down by sitting on her "really big" present.

In the big box? SIX Disney princesses! Her head was spinning. :)

And then she got the coolest UGGS ever from Aunt Alli...bright pink with bows down the back!

What a fun night, and a special few days in Hickory. Next up? A birthday celebration for our baby!
