Christmas Eve

After Addie's Christmas Eve breakfast birthday party, we hit the road (car piled high) headed back towards Raleigh. It was smooth sailing till we reached Burlington and all traffic came to a complete stop. Not good...Addie lost it as we sat in traffic for 45 minutes. Collins and I had to sing non-stop Christmas songs to try to appease her. Finally, the road opened up and we made it back home, but it was a LONG trip.

I was pretty excited about the next part of the day- the Christmas Eve church service. Because we've always been in Hickory on Christmas Eve, we had never been to one of Hayes Barton's services before. I knew it would be special, and I was really looking forward to taking Collins for the first time. You could see her excitement as well as we walked into church...

Collins and Laney and Mercer had fun running wild after the service! (Beth and I had to get a picture- they all color-coordinated!)

After the service, we headed to the Fork's house for our big Christmas get-together. Donna made a fabulous dinner, and then Collins got to open her much anticipated present...the "Frozen" Ice Castle! She was thrilled...

Guess what this one was?

Addie loved her new wheels...

We are always excited to get new Bronco gear from Denver!

Love these last two of Addie...

It was a wonderful Christmas Eve with Donna and Marty!
