It is a special thing when you get together with some of your dearest friends. It is even more remarkable when you get all your babies together and watch them have fun together. We did this recently when Rach and her three kiddos came to town. We had eight kids between us, and Andrea, Mandy, Rach and I were running to keep up with them all!
Turns out that Maggie and Clara are miniature versions of their fun Mama and were fearless at Banbury Park. Mandy, Addie and I tried to watch them as they climbed stairs, took off for the woods, and threw themselves down the slide, but quickly realized this was not an easy job! Not sure how Rach does it!
The mamas loved seeing all the kids playing with each other, and we even got to catch up a bit on a gorgeous spring afternoon outside...
There was a steep learning curve on the power wheels so Addie helped Evie out...
Dinner was not one bit relaxing, but the guacamole, margaritas and beef tacos totally made up for the millions of demands. :)
We had such a good time getting everyone together. Rach was a trooper to drive her crew two hours to see the rest of us. The four of us have been friends since Carolina freshman year which was 22 years ago! Hard to believe, and even harder to believe that our sweet kid are now forming friendships of their own. A special thing!
