Lots of Germs

Finally, we got the germs that seemed to plague the rest of Raleigh. It was really only a matter of time because everybody else we knew was sick.

I noticed a fever with Addie and a bad barking cough with Luke. Turns out that Addie had the flu, and Luke had the croup. Ugh...double whammy.

So Addie missed school that week, and we were basically quarantined in our house for days upon end. We didn't do activities or see friends that week, and Collins kept her distance from her brother and sister at home.

My concern was that our ski trip to Sugar Mountain was on Friday of that week, and I was afraid we wouldn't be able to go.

But slowly with the help of meds and lots of rest, Addie and Luke began to feel better. Addie even felt like making a germ at home- the cute assignment her classmates made at school that week.

 When she put her roller skates on, I knew she was almost back to normal...

Finally, by Friday, they both were feeling better! We went to the park for some fresh air and sunshine...oh how good it felt to be outside with their little smiling faces. Hard week.

 

Whew...better just in time for our mountain getaway!
