The cousins came! We were so excited to receive a visit from our Florida family- Aunt Kim, cousin Jenny and Kevin, and smallest cousin, Jake. They came to town to watch their beloved Florida State take on State in football. Too bad that their team was not really worth watching that day, but lucky for us that they still made the long trip to NC. We had a great time!
First up- tailgating and pig cooking...
We went to the pep rally so Jake could meet Mr. and Ms. Wuf…
Turns out he wasn't scared of them at all...such a sweet moment.
Then the girls' turn...
It was a gorgeous Fall day...
We waited for the team to arrive...
and even got a high five from the head coach!
Collins showed off her muscles...
Then it was time for more eating...
We didn't stay for the game opting to watch it at home and enjoy the beautiful day...
The next morning, we had to show everybody State's campus (and more importantly Howling Cow ice cream)...
Everybody really enjoyed having a cousin around...Luke got a playmate and the girls got another little brother a lot like their own.
Then we headed for Pullen Park because it a must-see when you visit Raleigh...
We even got Pop Pop and Gigi on the carousel!
We learned that Jake loves balls (maybe even more than Luke), play kitchens, being outside, and is an all-around easy-going and sweet boy. It was fun having him and his family around for the weekend. We enjoyed perfect weather, hanging out, watching football, and seeing the kids play together.
