Luke at One Month

Luke's first month flew by in a blur for us with Christmas, birthdays, a new job, and most importantly, taking care of him. For him, his first month was spent tucked away safely from the world trying to adjust to his new surroundings.

From day one, Luke has been a great eater and sleeper. He would eat every 2-3 hours and sleep in 3-4 hour stretches at night. Not bad at all! He has also been a surprisingly strong baby from the beginning being able to hold his head up quite easily and pushing with his legs. Within his first month, he also nailed tummy time using that strong neck of his.

What Luke was not good at his first month? Being satisfied and not being fussy. As I later figured out, it was totally my fault and not his but we heard a lot of crying those first couple of weeks. It took me awhile to get to know and understand my baby!

Other notable things about Luke early on...loves his mama, loves breastfeeding, has a magic bed, lots of spitting up, likes to dirty up a clean diaper as soon as it is put on, and is a sweet snuggler. Also- his sisters adore him! We are all quite in love with our little boy who is growing like a weed and getting sweeter by the day!
