Celebrating Father's Day

Although Brian doesn't get into holidays like Father's Day (b/c he thinks they are fueled by card companies and commercialism), he does get into spending quality time with his favorite girls.

The girls, however, really got into Father's Day this year with Collins picking out special Father's Day outfits for her and Addie to surprise him with on the big morning. He loved the matching Wolfpack dresses...

and the matching onsie for little brother. I wanted to get little brother his first football jersey, but who knew boy's jerseys do not come in infant sizes? One of many things I have to learn about having a boy. :)

It was fun announcing the baby news to our extended group of friends/family via Instagram with this picture..."Celebrating a little something extra for this great Dad today...baby #3! And believe it or not, it's a boy." :)

Brian chose to go canoeing that morning which was really fun b/c Addie and I actually got to go this time! Normally, Brian and Collins get out on the lake while Addie and I hang behind, but not this day. It was a beautiful morning, and we had a great time exploring Umstead by boat...

and on foot!

After lunch at East Village (a Brian favorite), I had to help set up for VBS. Brian started work on his first-ever pork canitas for a dinner we were having with his Dad and Mom that night. They were AMAZING. It was a whirlwind day, but such a fun one.

Brian is the most incredible Dad I know. He could not be more wonderful with our girls, and every day I am grateful for all he does for us. Baby brother is going to be pretty lucky to have him, too.
