Miss Addie is finally walking! It took us awhile to get here, but she is officially a toddler now. As my Dad kept reminding me, "in her own time", and of course he was right. I was never worried that she had a problem because there was always a steady progression towards walking, but 16 months is on the late end to conquer this milestone. But as our Addie has proven, she will do things when she wants to!
Her "light bulb" moment happened when we were playing up at Lacy. All of a sudden, she just let go of one piece of play equipment and made the decision to walk over to the next piece of equipment. You should have seen how proud she was of herself! From that moment on, she realized she could do it and just kept going farther and farther on her own. It was so cute to just watch her leave the room heading wherever she darn well pleased. :)
She is loving the independence walking gives her, and it is wonderful for me because she was getting really heavy! I love being able to plop her down on her own two feet and say go! She is adorable toddling along. So glad we have reached this sweet milestone!
