It was time. Time for the Tahoe to officially retire. When the speedometer, the odometer, the air conditioning and the heat no longer worked, that was a big hint that it was time. But Brian Fork chose to ignore those hints...for a long time! It was only when you could not open the backseat doors from the inside (for who knows what reason!) that he felt it was time. Because he reasoned, it could be an unsafe thing if our children became trapped in the car. There you go! So the decision was made to say goodbye to Mr. Tahoe...
and HELLO to our new truck! Brian had wanted a truck for a long time, and the one he chose was perfect for him. The kids were thrilled and so was he. Because when all your gadgets work and you can open the door from the inside, what more could you want?!?Tuesday, September 28, 2021
A Bad Boo Boo
Look at that poor little face...I was inside working on a deep dish pizza when I heard him scream outside. And it was pretty loud so I knew it was bad. He had fallen off his bike right onto his face. Oh, Luke! It took him awhile to calm down, and I finally had to bring in the big guns to do it- Gatorade and brownies. The girls were SHOCKED that I would give him both of these items at once. But it did the trick. He calmed down long enough to eat and drink, and then he was okay. But it would take a few days to get this sweet little face back to normal.

Remote Classes
Whenever I heard banging and crashing, I knew the girls were upstairs doing virtual P.E. Remote learning in general was very awkward (and I realizing they were doing the very best they could), but it was interesting getting to peek in on their classes because these are the kinds of things I saw...
Never a Dull Moment
Oh, Addie, how you keep us entertained. There is never a dull moment when you are around!
Entertaining Luke
Entertaining Luke all day every day was not easy. A toddler boy has energy and this specific toddler boy really likes to be around his Mama. So this Corona situation worked out really well for Luke. But it was harder for me because in addition to keeping him busy- I had to make sure his sisters were taken care of during remote learning and they required a lot of my attention.
So I did the Pinterest searches and did my best to keep Luke engaged and learning through different types of play. I started strong then faded quickly. Never again will I take preschool for granted! Unfortunately, Luke wouldn't be going back to school anytime soon, so here are the different ways we tried to stay busy... and yes, the potty training was still going strong!
