Church Fall Fest

Our church's Fall Fest is so good that we all agreed that it could totally serve as the kids' Halloween,  and they would be completely fine with that. But alas, it's just a warm up for the real thing.

For the first time ever, I was unable to coordinate my kids' Halloween costumes this year. And I'm not going to lie, it was not easy for me to let that go. But these kiddos keep growing and getting more opinionated, and it was finally time for them to make their own choices. Sigh...it was so cute while it lasted.

So our CC decided she wanted to be a fancy poodle....

Addie was thrilled to be a (NC State) cheerleader...

and Luke was committed to being a fireman.

All so cute, and totally them.

Off to church we went for games and candy, candy, and more candy.

Luke did not get trunk-or-treating until he ate a Twix. Then his eyes were opened. We got home late, and then they had to go through their stash and eat JUST ONE MORE piece of candy. The next day was the actual holiday with class parties, neighborhood party and trick-or-treating so we threw them into bed as fast as we could because we had to pace ourselves. This was only the first night of the Halloween double-header!
