They thought they were just going to an exhibition men's basketball game at State, but it ended up being so much more. It was the "dress up in your Halloween costume" game, and somehow Brian scored them some sweet seats near the court. The kids who were dressed up got invited to come down to the court at halftime, and the cheerleaders took a special interest in our girls. They had them lead a parade of kids around the court, and then invited them to come back to a cheerleading practice sometime. Addie- who thinks she wants to be a State cheerleader some day- was thrilled! The girls came home on a high and with the most impressive face painting jobs I have ever seen. Ms. Poetzch (Addie's 4's teacher) texted me that she had been at the game and seen Addie on the jumbo tron and was so proud! Who knew an early season game could be so fun?
