First grade is a wrap! Collins was excited for the school year to be over, but she was sad to say goodbye to Ms. Barefoot. What a testament that is to her teacher. Ms. Barefoot truly made Collins excited about school for the first time ever. She had a wonderful year in first grade. She became strong in math, she made real headway in her reading (not there quite yet but close), and she learned countless other ways to be a smart, independent seven-year-old.
We're very proud of our girl and happy she gets a little break. And Addie, Luke, and I could not be more excited to spend the summer with her!
We had some Build-a-Bear gift certificates from Aunt Connie so Donna took them on a special end-of-school trip to the mall to make a new friend. Fun way to end a big day!
