Go Addie, Go!

On Labor Day, Addie decided all of a sudden that she was ready to ride her bike without the training wheels. SO SHE DID IT! We headed to the House Creek greenway where Collins learned to ride her bike (it's flat and straight), and Addie was determined to do it too...

She went up and down that greenway time after time each lap gaining more confidence...

until she finally realized that we weren't holding on any longer. And off she went!

Pretty sweet to celebrate with big sis...

Luke was more interested in rocks, but he did say, "Go Addie, go!".

She rode several times by herself on the greenway, and then we decided to go home because it was too hot outside.

But an hour or so later when Luke was taking her nap, Addie asked to go up to Lacy to try riding again...

Brian took her up there and soon after called me to tell me we needed to come up there to see something...

Because Addie was doing it! She rode laps around the Lacy track all by herself! An official bike rider at age four...pretty impressed by our big girl.

She was quite proud of herself too...and was thrilled to come home to find a celebratory brownie ice cream bowl. Go Addie, go!
