Thanksgiving 2017

Thanksgiving morning started with a surprise treat from Krispy Kreme which set a nice tone for the rest of our holiday. It was relaxing and fun! We headed to Hickory (getting out of neighborhood just in the nick of time- the Turkey Trot almost trapped us!) and to Poppy and Nana's for a great Thanksgiving day.

We played inside...

and played outside at the park down the road...

got in a few pictures...

then headed to Paul and Pat's for Thanksgiving dinner. We didn't go last year because I was very pregnant with Luke so it was important to me to see everyone and to introduce them to Luke. I loved seeing him play with Jacob and Jonah...

watching Hollie interact with my girls...

and catching up with everyone (as much as was possible while wrestling Luke and his Thanksgiving dinner).

I really enjoyed the evening- catching up with everyone, laughing at old pictures, and connecting my family old and new.

On Friday, it was time for Thanksgiving with Mimi! We changed the schedule around this year because Alli couldn't be home in time for lunch on Thanksgiving day. So we just decided to do lunch on Friday. It worked out great, especially when Mimi greeted the girls that morning with their first Christmas gifts of the season!

We headed to the downtown park which the girls love...and we took Baba with us!

Back at Mom's we crafted...

and posed for some family pix...

and ATE! Wow, it was good...

I mean look at the size of that crust layer...

Per normal, Luke was wild while we ate and happier being set loose to play with Tallulah...

push chairs around...

 and play with his sisters.

In a particularly cute move, he attempted to do the worm while watching a worm.

Guess his dancing sisters put him in a dancing mood!

It was a quick trip to Hickory because Friday afternoon we headed back to Raleigh for Thanksgiving #3! Donna made a delicious meal that was quickly destroyed by a certain messy eater...

and that came to and end with a surprise turkey dessert!

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving all the way around!
