Outdoor Adventures

We went to Prairie Ridge park recently to eat a picnic and play in the woods, but ended up releasing a bird into the wild, avoiding a snake, and getting our shoes sopping wet in the creek. I like when unexpected adventures pop up when in the great outdoors.

We stumbled upon this bird research study, and Addie was the only family member brave enough to hold and release the bird...this was really cool.

 We found this creek...

and it took about a minute for Addie to go straight in.

They were going to explore deeper until Collins almost ran right into a black snake making its way down into the creek. We quickly headed in the other direction! Turns out, that was enough creek playing for one day. :)

They played in the forest, made wilderness stew, and got really dirty and hot...a good way to spend an afternoon!
