Books, Books, Books

This is how my kids have learned to pass the time as I pour over the cookbook section in the library. They know I'm going to be awhile so they set up camp!

Aldi Find

Best Aldi find of all time...this beautiful Fiddleleaf Fig plant for $12!!!! I've wanted one of these plants for so long, but they are close to $100 at Logan's. This is why Aldi is my favorite store (behind Target of course)- you can find surprise treats randomly like this all the time.

Learning Early

Proper tackling technique that is...you can never learn this important skill too early in life! Luke now refers to the front yard as their "football field". We'll see if he ends up loving the game as much as his Daddy. And if Daddy has anything to do with it, he most definitely will!

Tooth Fairy Time

Addie's turn! She watched as big sister's teeth fell out one by one, and the dentist told her she would start losing teeth between ages 6 and 7. Well, come late October, she got a big surprise when she lost her very first tooth! While eating a Harris Teeter sub of all things! She was thrilled and couldn't believe it happened when she was still five.

Then the craziest thing happened. We went to Howling Cow for an ice cream cone later that afternoon and while eating her fave chocolate chip cookie dough, ANOTHER tooth fell out! Two in one day!

So she had a lot to put in her super cute tooth fairy pillow that Gigi made her. And Collins felt compelled to write a note to the tooth fairy asking her to please not take Addie's tooth. She wanted to keep it, but she also really wanted her money. :)

I'll always remember how Addie lost not only her first tooth, but her first and second tooth on the same day. And each while eating a tasty treat. Her smile is so different but cute now.

Silly Side

Proof that this sweet boy loves to be silly? See below.

Sawyer Time

It warms my heart to see my kids hang out with their cousin. I can't wait for the day when they can play and be close. But for now, I will treasure how cute they think Sawyer is and how tiny he is so they can hold him. Every visit with him is special.

Lacy Fall Festival

The Fall Festival is a big deal around Lacy. It raises a lot of money for the school, and the kids love it. Addie was especially thrilled to get to go for the first time as an official Lacy student so off we went for a night of fun.

The kids were brave and attempted the rock wall, big slide, and crazy spinning ride...

Collins and her friends were convinced they were ready to take on the haunted house this year, and Brian went with them to supervise. I took Addie and Luke inside the school for games, and luckily Addie found her friend Emily. This was probably Addie's favorite part of the night- playing Bingo and winning a prize with Emily.

This was Luke's favorite part, too, because he got a plastic slinky toy. It truly does not take much to make them happy. And can we talk about Luke's hair? Why in the world did I not take that boy to get a haircut before this happened???

Heading home they were all a buzz. They had a fabulous time and turns out Lacy raised a record amount of money that night. All in all- a very successful Fall Festival!
