First Smile

Those first few weeks with a new baby are grueling. At least with my babies it has been. There are sweet spots, no doubt, but there is also no sleep, extreme anxiety, physical exhaustion and the complete sacrifice of yourself for another person.

Then one day out of the blue your precious baby smiles at you and you forget that having a baby was ever hard work...and you will do anything to get him to do it again and again and again.

Luke gave us his first smile at 8 weeks, and we have been melting ever since. It might be the most special thing to see your tiny love show you love back.
