It's snowing! When you get to see snow falling in Raleigh, it is truly a thrilling moment because it just doesn't happen enough. On this particular afternoon, we were promised snow...
and we got it! You can't really tell from this picture, but there is definitely snow starting to fall.
And Addie was so anxious to get out there in it that she completely forgot a hat and a coat. But doesn't really appear that she cares...because it was snowing!
so Collins came out without any cold weather gear AND a Marie Antoinette wig...hmm interesting choice.
When we needed to warm up a bit, our activities of choice were puzzling, cheerleading, and cookie-making.
The next morning, it was time to get out of our pajamas and go sledding!
They figured out that our ivy hill is a good spot for sledding. Yes, it mashes down the ivy and makes it look bad the rest of the year, but they would tell you it is worth it for a few good runs. :)
The goal is to make it to the road- or across it- if you're really going fast. I play the lookout and off they go!
Luke opted to go really fast in his jeep and tractor...
Back inside to warm our toes with hot-baked bread...
and Kona Ice?!? They set up a stand to sell Italian ice with real snow. :)
The customer got to choose his icy flavor (with fruit puree), and he enjoyed!
A beautiful snow for Raleigh, and two super fun snow days!
