1. You can really improve your time if you practice every day. Collins shaved off almost 10 seconds off her time in most of her strokes from the first swim meet to the last. Impressive!
2. There is more sitting around and eating at a swim meet than there is swimming.
3. The Beford Falls pool might be the hottest place on Earth.
4. A rainbow participant ribbon might be cooler than a solid green heat winner ribbon.
5. It is more fun to participate when you do it with friends.
6. Dive off the block if you can!
7. Those swim meets are long and hot for the onlookers, but it's really fun if you are a participant.
8. If your goggles fall off when you dive in, keep swimming!
9. The End-of-Year banquet was not my finest moment as an event planner.
10. We were smart to join the Dolphins this year. Collins' swimming and confidence improved significantly!
